Event Details
What: Miss Kim’s Nutcracker
When: Monday, December 8 – Saturday, December 13
Where: Alliance Convention Center – 1214 Turrentine St., Burlington NC
Who: All ballet dancers, Dedicated Ballet dancers, Company dancers, and NEXT STEP ballet dancers
Recital Fee: $85 (auto-processed on Monday, December 5)
Includes: Costume rental & cleaning, new tights, unlimited admission, livestream access, and all performance costs.
If you did not receive a flyer with your dancer’s show day and time, visit “Holiday Event Info” on our website.
Arrival Instructions
Claras (ages 3–4) & Angels (ages 2–3):
Arrive 15 minutes before showtime at Inspiration Hall (Main Entrance). You may bring them to your seat, then return them 15 minutes before showtime.
All other dancers:
Arrive 30 minutes before showtime at Inspiration Hall. Please make sure your dancer has used the restroom before arrival.
What to Wear
Arrive in: new ballet tights and a skin-tone liner (costumes go over the liner)
Ballet dancers: ballet shoes and hair in a ballet bun (at the crown of the head) (Boys: Arrive in your black shorts, white T-shirts, and black ballet shoes…we have costumes for all boys)
No: jewelry, gum, hair accessories, or peanut products backstage
No food in costumes (only water in a closed bottle)
Dancers in Angels, Claras, Spanish, and Chinese do not need dance bags unless staying for multiple shows (Marzipan, Russian, Fight Scene, Dedicated Ballet, Company).
Tights & Liner Information
Tights: Pick-up dates will be announced soon (same as Christmas Parade sweatshirt pickup).
Liner: Required for all dancers. Order your liner here by October 31.
Pick-up dates will be the same as sweatshirt pickup.
Performance Notes
Doors open as soon as the previous show exits.
5:30 PM shows: Seating begins at 5:00 PM.
7:00 PM shows: Seating begins once the 5:30 audience has exited.
No tickets required — invite as many guests as you’d like!
Shows run about 40 minutes and will be livestreamed (link shared day of).
Pick-Up
After the show, pick up your dancer from the same location where you dropped them off.
Please return all costumes before leaving.
Class Schedule Notes
No ballet classes (AM or PM) the week of December 8–13.
Acro, Tap, Jazz/Hip Hop, and Mommy & Me classes will continue unless they conflict with your dancer’s performance time.
