Miss Kim’s NEXT STEP Dress Rehearsal and Recital Information 

We are excited to present your dancer’s upcoming performance opportunities! Recitals are such special moments—filled with excitement, nerves, and most importantly, pride and accomplishment. It’s truly magical to see dancers leave the stage with smiles that last for days.

Here’s everything you need to know about our upcoming recitals and dress rehearsals:

TWO PRODUCTIONS:

  1. Snow White’s Enchanted Journey – All Ballet Dancers from Miss Kim’s NEXT STEP
  2. Kaleidoscope of Dance – Acro, Jazz, and Lyrical Dancers from Miss Kim’s NEXT STEP


DRESS REHEARSALS:

Snow White’s Enchanted Journey:

  • Dates: Monday, April 27th 6:30-7:30 AT ALLIANCE Location: 1214 Turrentine St.


Kaleidoscope of Dance:

  • All Others: Sunday, May 4th 3:00-4:00 at ALLLIANCE Location: 1214 Turrentine St


DRESS REHEARSAL REMINDERS:

  • Dancers arrive dressed in costume at ALLIANCE
  • Light makeup encouraged for all rehearsals and recitals.
  • No underwear under tights.
  • No jewelry, gum, or food.
  • Dancers sit with parents until their turn. 
  • Teachers will call dancers up when it’s their turn. They will perform 1-2 times.
  • Do not leave until the teacher confirms, “This class is finished.”
  • Parents must remain with dancers during Dress Rehearsals.
  • Ballet Hair: Ballet Bun- at crown on head-NOT on top of the head. (All hairpieces go on the right side of the bun) 
  • Other Dance Styles: Low bun with a center part (at nape of neck). 


RECITAL PERFORMANCES:

Snow White’s Enchanted Journey:

  • Location: Alliance Convention Center
  • Dates:
    • Friday, May 2nd: 5:30 & 7:00 PM

Kaleidoscope of Dance:

  • Location: Alliance Convention Center
  • Dates:
    • Friday, May 9th: 7:00 PM


RECITAL DAY REMINDERS:

  • Arrival:  Dancers arrive 30 minutes before recital time – NO SOONER. 
  • Check-In: Drop off dancers at the backstage area (adjacent to the auditorium). 
  • Hair: Ballet Bun for Snow White/ Low bun with middle part for Kaleidoscope of Dance.
  • No jewelry, gum, or food.
  • Miss Page will open auditorium doors 30 minutes before each show.
  • Seating: No tickets are needed! Bring as many guests as you’d like.
  • Pick-Up: After the recital, pick up your dancer at the backstage area. Exit through the EXIT doors – NOT the same doors you entered the auditorium.
  • Celebrate: Enjoy this moment, take pictures, buy goodies from our store, and have fun!
  • Flowers, Gifts, and Bondie’s Bakery will be sold at all recitals.
