2026-2027 Traditional Dance

2026 – 2027 Traditional Classes and Schedule:

  • June 15th: Registration Opens
  • Classes Begin: Monday, September 8th

Experience the NEXT level at Miss Kim’s NEXT STEP, where our traditional dance classes welcome dancers aged 12-19 of all skill levels. Join us for a fun, inclusive, and non-competitive environment designed to bring out the best in every dancer.

Before You Register – Please Read

As you begin selecting classes for the 2026–2027 dance year, please note that tuition amounts may not currently display correctly in the registration system. This is because we are implementing a new graduated tuition scale designed to make training more affordable and encourage dancers to participate in multiple classes and programs.

The only payment due at registration is the registration fee.

  • New families: One registration fee per dancer
  • Returning families: One registration fee per family

During registration, you will be asked to enter a credit or debit card. We kindly ask that you consider using a debit card, as processing fees are significantly lower and help us keep tuition costs down for everyone.

When checking out, be sure to select the $30 Registration Fee option in order to complete your registration. Please do not pay tuition at this time. Monthly tuition will be automatically processed using the card on file on the 1st of each month from September through April.

We are excited to offer this new tuition structure because it allows dancers to train more, experience more, and grow more than ever before. By making additional classes more affordable, we hope to encourage dancers to expand their training, explore new styles, build stronger technique, and become more well-rounded artists.

At Miss Kim’s NEXT STEP, we believe that the more a dancer trains, the more confidence they gain, the stronger their technique becomes, and the more opportunities they have to succeed. This tuition model reflects our commitment to making quality dance education accessible while encouraging dancers to fully immerse themselves in the art they love.

Additional discounts and tuition combinations may apply to select programs. As we finalize our new tuition structure, rates and package options may be adjusted to better serve our dancers and families.

Class Attire:

Ballet:

  • Ladies: Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, hair back in a secured bun
  • Gentlemen: Black pants/leggings, plain white t-shirt, black ballet shoes

Jazz:

  • Ladies: Any colored leotard, tan tights, tan jazz shoes. Dancers may wear black leggings or booty shorts, but leotard and tights are preferred. NO MIDRIFFS.
  • Gentlemen: Black pants, plain t-shirt, black jazz shoes.

Tap:

  • Same as jazz but with black tap shoes.

Lyrical:

  • Same as jazz except dancers need lyrical shoes/turners.

Acro:

  • Same as jazz but no shoes needed. Convertible tights are needed to expose feet.
